Official Muay Thai Fighters Weigh-in
All of the Muay Thai fighters and kickboxers are professional fighters with experience coming from a variety of Martial Arts backgrounds and disciplines, but primarily Muay Thai. Each fighter has been legally contracted by MKM Knockout Promotions, LLC to compete against his opponent in their designated weight class. Each fighter will have provided required blood test results and eye exams in advance and will need to make the limit weight of his class in order to be permitted to participate in Shin Do Kumate XVII.
The Main Event fighters, Pedro Cassoma and Tony Leone, will have to meet the requirement for their division of 155 pounds. The co-main event fighters, Cyrus “Black Dynamite” Washington and Alex Berrios, will have to make the limit weight of 170 pounds. All the other undercard bouts have their own weight requirements.
Avery McPhatter vs Warren Thompson weight requirement is 185 pounds. Maros Pacan vs. John Morehouse is 165 pounds. Michael Stripling vs. Chris Burgett requirement is 155 pounds. Johncy Lindor vs. Johnny Baldridge is 145 pounds. Rich Grindle vs. Johnny “Speed” Garcia weigh-in requirement limit is 145 pounds. Finally, Joe “Formiga” Cortez vs. Eric Peebles weigh-in limit is 145 pounds.
Strykerz Shin Do Kumate, one of the biggest Muay Thai events in the United States, has a variety of weight divisions. With this vast variety of weight divisions, all the bouts will display different techniques and skills by strikers. The Strykerz Shin Do Kumate XVII weigh-in is overseen by the Florida State Boxing Commission.
