Mikey Gomez - Muay Thai Champions


Mikey Gomez is a Paraguayan Middleweight Muay Thai champion. Originally Gomez started his first pro Muay Thai with MKM Knockout Promotions in 2005 and he fought against  Thiago Alves with American Top Team in Shin Do Kumate XVII and lost with decision. Thiago Alves d’Araujo is a Brazilian mixed martial artist competing as a welterweight in the Ultimate Fighting Championship and was a tough opponent. He return back with determination and fought in Shin Do Kumate X against Chico Mendez and won the title. Since then, has notably fought for various series such as Bellator Fighting Championships, Xtreme Fighting Championships, EliteXC, Shin Do Kumate, and many more. He has an established professional kickboxing and MMA record of 17 wins and 12 loses. Gomez is also a 2nd degree black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Mikey currently fights from Newport Beach, California.

Mikey Gomez started to get recognize when he move from Florida to California. After the move, he started training with Renato “Babalu” Sobral at GB Cerritos. After training for a period of time, Mikey Gomez became the teacher again and started teaching at GB in Southern California.  His fighting and teaching experience allow him to fulfill one of his dream and become successful outside the ring. Gomez open his Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu school in 2011 and it has been a staple for MMA fighters in the area. Gomez will be feature in future Shin Do Kumate to defend his title.
